Delete your account
You can delete your Duskflash account and its data at any time, from inside the app or by email. This page describes both ways, what gets deleted and what we have to keep.
Delete in the app (fastest)
iPhone and Android: open Duskflash → Settings → Privacy → Delete account. Read the summary, type the confirmation word, and tap Delete. Your account is closed immediately and the app is reset.
Delete without the app
If you no longer have the app installed, email [email protected] with the subject "Delete my account". To help us find your account, include one of the following:
- your User ID or referral code (shown in Settings → About, or on any share link you created), or
- the email address of the Apple or Google account you signed in with, if you linked one, or
- for subscribers, the order ID from your App Store or Google Play receipt.
We may ask a follow-up question to confirm the request comes from the account holder. We complete verified requests within 30 days and email you when it is done.
Cancel your subscription first
Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription. Stores bill you, not us, so please cancel there to stop future charges:
- iPhone: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Duskflash → Cancel Subscription.
- Android: Google Play → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Duskflash → Cancel.
A Film Lifetime purchase stays with your Apple or Google account. If you reinstall later and tap Restore purchases, the store will restore it even after your Duskflash account was deleted.
What is deleted

Remaining copies in encrypted backups of our systems are overwritten within a further 35 days.
What we keep
- Purchase and tax records (transaction IDs, product, dates, amounts, country) for as long as tax and accounting laws require, typically up to 7 years. These are kept separately and are not used for anything else.
- Safety records about content that violated our AI Policy, where needed to prevent repeat abuse or comply with legal obligations.
- Aggregated statistics that do not identify you.
What stays on your phone
Photos you saved to your phone's photo library are yours and are not touched. Deleting the account clears the Duskflash app's own Library and settings on that device.
Delete some data without deleting your account
- Cloud backup: Settings → Backup → Delete cloud data.
- AI results: delete them from the AI tab of your Library; they also expire automatically after 30 days.
- Shares: open the share in your Library and tap Delete link.
- Analytics: Settings → Privacy → turn off Share usage data.
- AI consent: Settings → Privacy → AI → Withdraw consent.
